According to census data, a little far more than half of the five-county First Coast's number of people live in food deserts, areas with out having easy access to grocery stores or healthy, healthy foods. The American Heart Monopole is currently pursuing state-level financing systems that would help address this issue for an First Coast and other affected sites in Florida by helping establishments set up shop in these areas.
